Terms of Service

For sellers using ValuQ • Last updated: March 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ValuQ platform and services. By submitting a property valuation request, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use ValuQ.

1. Definitions

Platform:

The ValuQ website, mobile application, and related services.

You / Seller:

Any person submitting a property valuation request via the Platform.

Agent:

A licensed estate agent in the UK offering valuation services through ValuQ.

Property Brief:

The information you provide about your property (type, size, photos, condition, features).

Personal Data:

Your name, contact details (phone, email, full address) shared only when you choose to connect with an agent.

2. Account creation and eligibility

You must be 18 years old and have the legal authority to request a valuation for the property. If you are acting on behalf of another party (e.g., as a power of attorney), you confirm you have the necessary authority.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide. Do not submit false or misleading property details.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You are liable for all activity on your account.

3. Submission rules

When you submit a property valuation request, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate property details and photos
  • Ensure all photos are of the actual property (not stock images or another property)
  • Own or have legal authority over the property
  • Not submit duplicate requests for the same property
  • Not submit fake properties to test the system
  • Comply with all UK laws regarding property information

Violation of these rules may result in suspension or termination of your account without refund.

4. How valuations work

When you submit a property request, it is shared with estate agents in your postcode area (anonymously—without your personal details).

Agents have 48 hours to submit their valuation. You will receive all responses in your ValuQ account.

Valuations are provided by individual agents and are their professional opinion. ValuQ does not endorse or guarantee any valuation. You should seek independent advice if needed.

We provide an AI-generated benchmark estimate for reference only. This is not a professional valuation and should not be used as your sole basis for decision-making.

5. Privacy and data sharing

While agents respond:

Agents can see your property brief and photos but not your personal details (name, phone, email, address).

When you connect:

If you select an agent and choose to connect, we share your full personal details with that agent only. No other agents will see your information.

6. No obligation to sell

ValuQ is free and comes with no obligation. You are not required to:

  • List your property with any agent
  • Meet with any agent in person
  • Sign up for services or contracts
  • Pay any fees at any stage

Your connection with an agent through ValuQ is entirely voluntary and independent of ValuQ.

7. Content ownership and licensing

You retain ownership of all content you submit (photos, property descriptions, seller context).

By submitting content, you grant ValuQ a worldwide, non-exclusive license to use it to:

  • Display to agents in your coverage area
  • Generate analytics and benchmarks
  • Improve the Platform

You can delete your submission anytime from your account. Once deleted, we will stop sharing it with new agents but agents who already have it retain their copy.

8. Limitation of liability

ValuQ is provided "as is" without warranty. We do not guarantee:

  • Accuracy or completeness of valuations
  • That agents will respond within 48 hours
  • That all agents will submit a valuation
  • Uninterrupted access to the Platform
  • That the AI benchmark is accurate

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ValuQ Ltd is not liable for:

  • Loss of profit, data, or business interruption
  • Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Any reliance on valuations or recommendations
  • Third-party actions (e.g., agent conduct after connection)

Our total liability shall not exceed the fees you paid to us (which for most sellers is zero).

9. Dispute resolution

If you have a complaint about ValuQ's service, email us at support@valuq.co.uk. We will respond within 5 business days.

Most disputes can be resolved informally. If not, you have the right to pursue legal action in UK courts.

Important: Disputes with agents you connect with are separate from disputes with ValuQ. ValuQ does not intervene in disputes between sellers and agents.

10. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

  • Use the Platform for illegal purposes or to violate any law
  • Harass, abuse, or threaten agents or other users
  • Attempt to hack, interfere with, or disrupt the Platform
  • Submit false, defamatory, or obscene content
  • Spam agents with multiple fake requests
  • Impersonate another person
  • Reverse engineer or extract data from the Platform
  • Violate anyone's intellectual property rights

Violation may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account and legal action.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, commit fraud, or engage in abusive conduct.

We will notify you of termination and give you 5 business days to download your data (if possible).

Upon termination, your access to the Platform ends. Any submitted property requests will be archived but not shared with new agents.

12. Intellectual property

All Platform content (including text, design, algorithms, software) is owned by ValuQ or licensed to ValuQ. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute it without permission.

13. Amendments

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified by email. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of amended Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Both parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of English courts.
